The Krasnobrod commune is located in Roztocze, in the area of the former Zamość and now Lublin Voivodeship. It is known for its spa with rich brine springs.
Roztocze is not only contact with unspoiled nature, crystal clear air and the smell of resin, but also picturesque towns, interesting monuments and cultural events. Peace, quiet and plenty of sunny days allow you to relax, relieve stress and gain strength.
Marysienka Sobieska has already benefited from the health benefits of Roztocze. Also today, in the sanatoriums of the health resorts of Krasnobrod and Horyniec-Zdrój, whose traditions date back to the 19th century, every year hundreds of people recover. An additional advantage of both resorts is the microclimate, silence and beautiful location.
On hot days, the sandy beaches of Roztocze beaches in Janow Lubelski, Frampol, Majdan Sopocki, Zwierzyniec and, significantly expanded in recent years, in Jozefow and Krasnobrod are tempting. In the event of inclement weather, indoor swimming pools are an alternative: in Horyniec-Zdroj, Janow Lubelski and Zamosc.
Anglers will be interested in fish and beautifully situated ponds and reservoirs, including the region's largest reservoir 'Nielisz' and clean trout river Roztocze qualified for mountain waters. Who prefers trout without fishing, should go to Bondyrz, where they serve it straight from the river.
Recreation in Roztocze is enriched by the cultural offer: museums and galleries, concerts, performances and festivities. Crowds are drawn by the Summer Film Academy in Zwierzyniec. Classical music in a great performance can be listened to, among others in Narol and Krasnobrod, jazz in Zamosc, and folklore at numerous outdoor events. Several painters run author galleries in Roztocze, min. in Szura, in Szczebrzeszyn, in Gorecki Koscielny and Majdan Wielki. You can talk to the artists and find a remarkable souvenir from Roztocze.
History lovers will be interested in the medieval strongholds and traces of the January Uprising, which we are celebrating the 150th anniversary. They can be found, among others in Krasnobrod, Jozefow Zwierzyniec, Panasowka and Batorz. There are also many memorabilia of both world wars: trenches and cemeteries from the First World War and monuments on the battlefields fought in the September campaign and by partisans during the Second World War (including the largest in Poland near Osuchy). They are also reminding of the pacification of the Zamosc region, the tragedy of the Children of Zamosc and the extermination of Jews.
In the footsteps of the Zamosc Ordinance, which had a huge impact on the development of Roztocze, it leads the Zamoyski Ordinance Trail, and the monuments associated with it in Gorecki Koscielny, Hamernia, Jozefow, Nielisz, Radecznica, Sitaniec, Susc, Szczebrzeszyn, Zawada, Zamosc and Zwierzyniec are marked with boards with a description .
The oldest, geological, history of the region is brought closer by the Central Roztocze Geotourism Trail. It includes Mlynarka hills near Szopowe and Wapielnia near Luszczacz, old adits in Senderka and quarries in Jozefow, Krasnobrod and Nowiny (on the edge of which there are observation towers enabling viewing of the surroundings within a radius of several kilometers) and the gorges of Tanwia and Sopot with new bridges to facilitate their sightseeing. All these places are marked with information boards. In 2012, the trail was awarded the Roztocze - the award of the Local Tourist Organization 'Zamosc and Roztocze' awarded for the best tourist product of the year.
