The Wlodawa commune is located in the central-eastern part of Poland, near the border with Belarus and Ukraine. It covers almost 25,000 ha and has over 6,000. residents gathered in 15 village councils. The Wlodawa commune has a very agricultural character. The main source of income for the population is income from agriculture. Agricultural production is carried out by over 700 farms. The commune divides the city of Wlodawa into two parts, which is a separate administrative unit. The northern part of the commune is located in the Grab Wlodawa and the southern part in the eastern part of the Łęczyńsko-Włodawskie Lakeland. Both of these units belong to the physiographic region called Polesie Lubelskie. The Wlodawa commune is the sunniest region of Poland.
